I planned my wedding very, very quickly, and I waited until the last minute to decide on who to hire to do hair/makeup—luckily Beauty Icon accommodated my last-minute needs and told me Liza Ray was available. Less than a week before my wedding, I had a trial with Liza. I explained to her that I wanted a glamorous but relatively natural look—hair down, makeup that would be subtle and complement my complexion (I’m a redhead). I showed her a few inspiration photos and from there she created a beautiful look, exactly what I wanted. The day of my wedding, Liza styled my mom and sisters’ hair—they all loved their looks—and once again created a glamorous, classic wedding look for me. Liza is also truly one of the most genuinely sweet people I’ve met. She was a joy to talk with during the hours we spent together during the trial and on the morning of my wedding. I can’t recommend Beauty Icon enough!

I am so happy I went with Beauty Icon for my hair and makeup. I discovered them through Amanda Batula from Bravo's "Summer House." I was drawn to their natural, elegant aesthetic. It felt very New York. It was very important to me and my husband that I look like myself on my wedding day and not like I was wearing a caked on mask. Sasha, Olga and Anna nailed it. I had the best time with Sasha at my trial, and even months later she remembered our visit perfectly and commented on how improved and hydrated my skin looked (which I had worked really hard at!!). I gave some feedback on slight tweaks I wanted from my trial, and she adjusted perfectly and beyond my high expectations. Oxana, the administrator, was highly organized, detail-oriented and responsive. I was able to share inspo pictures for myself and my wedding party over email leading up to my wedding day, and there was no issue or extra cost with them applying the clip-in hair extensions my sisters-in-law brought on the day. After much research, I found their pricing to be on par with the competition in my area (NYC), and I felt safe in their hands.

Beauty Icon was amazing! From start to finish they were accommodating and professional. Both my wife and I and all of our friends and family looked and felt amazing! We could not have asked for better hair and makeup services!

I had such a great experience working with Beauty Icon NYC for my wedding. Alena did my hair and make up, and Dasha did most of the bridesmaid and mothers. Everyone was so pleased with how everything turned out, and held up throughout the night! For a group of girls who don't wear a ton of make up, Alena and Dasha both made everyone feel like a better version of themselves which can be a difficult balance to find! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else!

There are not enough adjectives to describe how wonderful Liza made me feel on my special day. She did a PHENOMENAL job. My makeup and hair were both perfect! She listened to what I wanted and totally nailed what I was looking for. I am extremely picky about hair and makeup, and I hadn’t liked any of the vendors who were local. It turned out that Liza was able to travel to my wedding, and I was overjoyed. I had seen Liza on instagram, and thought there was no chance I would actually be able to book her. It felt like destiny when she was available for my day, and everything worked out perfectly. I cannot recommend her enough! Everyone who had their hair and makeup done by Liza was radiant, and loved her work. She is extremely skilled, her whole team was extremely responsive and professional, and Liza was a joy to spend time with. If you are thinking of booking anyone else for your wedding - don’t do it! I am so grateful for the work Liza did on my wedding day, and I know all of my photos will be perfect thanks to her great work.

Highly recommend Beauty Icon for your bridal hair & makeup!! From my first contact with the Beauty Icon Team Manager "Oxana" to my experience getting ready on the morning of my wedding, I cannot speak more highly about the Beauty Icon team. My wedding was in NY but I live in Phoenix and due to flight cancellations wasn't able to make it back for my trial but I wasn't nervous at all because I was confident in the services that Beauty Icon provided. If you follow them on Instagram you can see how they are the best team to highlight natural beauty. Everyone looked beautiful and hair and makeup lasted all day! I had Paulina do everyone's hair including my own and she also did my makeup. Another artist Emine did everyone else's makeup and she was so sweet and everyone felt so beautiful and comfortable with their makeup. You will not regret going forward with Beauty Icon!!

Liza is the most talented, sweetest, and understanding makeup artist - I was incredibly lucky to have worked with her on my wedding day. Throughout my wedding planning process, the trial and on the actual big day, she made sure to listen and go above and beyond in all of her services. As a bride that leans type A, I had a good number of requests I presented her with (including changes between the trial / big day), including vision boards for all of my bridal party, my maid of honor and my mom - Liza not only paid meticulous attention to my hair / makeup, but kept track of everyone else's makeup and made adjustments as needed. She stayed with me the entire day throughout our portraits, ceremony and until our grand entrance, and I truly couldn't have done it without her. Liza provided touchups and ensured we looked perfect for all of our photos, even in moments when I didn't know I needed them! She played a huge role in making sure I was having the best day I could, and I truly couldn't thank her enough. We also had Paulina and Gabriel helping with my bridesmaids' hair and makeup and they did an amazing job as well. Everyone was so happy with the results and we can guarantee our hair / makeup lasted all night long through the endless dancing. I can't wait to work with Liza and Beauty Icon again in the future. I've been recommending them nonstop to all of our family and friends!

Liza is FANTASTIC. She is professional, friendly, and truly skilled in hair and makeup. If you’re looking for flawless makeup and a modern approach to hair styles - look no further. I chose her because I loved her textured updos - they are red carpet glam perfection instead of stiff outdated wedding do’s. I’ve never felt more beautiful. I recommend her 100%, and would use her again in a heartbeat!
